- SZ-Dhaka freight flight opens

SHENZHEN-BASED Donghai Airlines, one of the country's first privately run airline companies, officially started its Shenzhen-Dhaka, Bangladesh freight flight Tuesday.
In the first freight service between the two cities, a Boeing 737 aicraft will conduct flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
During the first week of trial operations, the first six flights shipped nearly 90 tons of exports to Bangladesh with 80 percent comprising raw textile materials and 20 percent electronic products, according to a Shenzhen Special Zone Daily report yesterday. Insiders said that over recent years many Chinese clothing makers had shifted their production to Bangladesh, the world's fifth largest garment exporter which generates US$7.5 billion in annual garment export volume.
