- SZ Air to build aircraft alteration plant

IN its latest move to expand nationwide, Shenzhen Airlines will establish a company for aircraft alteration and maintenance at Shunyi, a suburban district of Beijing, the company announced Saturday.
Shenzhen Airlines and the government of Shunyi signed a treaty for the 15 billion (US$1.88 billion) to 20 billion yuan project Saturday. The project is also part of Beijing's plan to build a 27.8-square kilometer center for the development of the air industry around Beijing International Airport at Shunyi District by 2010.
