- Eastern Air in talks with investors

CHINA Eastern Airlines Corp., the nation's third-largest carrier, said yesterday it is in talks with a group of investors including Singapore Airlines Ltd. on possible cooperation, but it hasn't reached an agreement with any of the potential investors.
China Eastern said in a statement its controlling shareholder, China Eastern Air Holding Co., has consulted the State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission about introducing strategic investors. It didn't name the other potential investors. Eastern Air's comments come after the China Securities Journal said last week the company is close to finalizing the sale of a stake to Singapore Airlines, which said in a statement it had made no decision to buy a stake.
