SHANGHAI Airlines Co. will increase its annual capacity this year to 10 million passengers, from 7.48 million in 2006, and boost its cargo capacity to 300,000 metric tons, the China Daily reported Thursday.
The report cited Fan Hongxi, president of the Shanghai-listed carrier, as saying the airline plans to double its fleet to around 100 aircraft by 2010 from 50 at the end of 2006, to develop both its domestic and international business.
