CHINA Aviation Industry Corp. I (AVIC I) plans to team up with China Eastern Airlines to form a 1 billion yuan (US$133 million) regional airline that will fly locally built planes.
The new airline would be based in western China and could begin operations in the first half of next year, AVIC I's senior vice president Hu Wenmin said.
