- Regulator hopeful of ABC capital injection

THE country's banking regulator said yesterday it is 'very hopeful?that Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) will receive a capital injection from the government in the first half of next year.
China has been seeking ways to improve the capitalization of its weaker unlisted banks through a series of tools, including Central Government capital injections and local government financial support, to prepare them for initial public offerings.
