- BOC has no overseas acquisition plans

BANK of China Ltd. (BOC) has no plan for overseas acquisitions in the near term while it will focus on developing domestic business for now, a senior executive at the bank said yesterday.
Asked whether Bank of China will follow the suit of its rivals China Construction Bank and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China to expand its overseas presence through acquisitions, Zhu Min, vice president of BOC, said, 'No.''Domestic market is in very good situation. So it all depends on whether you have the ability to develop your business In this market,'Zhu said.
