- BOC launches SME finance pilot

BANK of China (BOC) has launched a pilot program to offer financing and other services to the nation's growing small and medium-size enterprises, or SMEs, a senior executive said Sunday.
The bank has started the SME program in the eastern provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, as well as in the city of Shanghai, vice president Zhu Min said. He said the bank is teaming with Temasek Holdings Pte., Singapore's state investment unit vehicle, to consider opportunities to expand the SME program nationwide.
