UNITED Overseas Bank , Singapore's second-biggest lender, is still looking for strategic partnerships in China, its new chief executive said Friday.
'We are still looking for strategic alliances in China,'Wee Ee Cheong said at the bank's annual general meeting. UOB has subsidiaries in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. In January, it agreed to buy a 10 percent stake in Vietnam's Southern Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
