- Mizuho to double China branches

MIZUHO Financial Group Inc. aims to double the number of its branches in China to more than 10 during the next three years and may set up a Chinese private banking unit, a senior executive at Japan's second-largest bank said Thursday.
Mizuho is looking to open two new Chinese branches a year for the next three years, aiming to benefit from the rapid growth of the world's fourth-largest economy, Yasuhiro Sato, deputy president of the group's corporate and investment banking unit, said.
