- SDB, Auchan launch joint credit card

FRENCH privately held supermarket group Auchan and its subsidiary Banque Accord have joined with Shenzhen Development Bank (SDB) to launch a credit card in China, Auchan said yesterday.
Auchan said in a statement it would begin distributing the co-branded 'Red Bird?cards with its accompanying reward program across its 16 stores on the Chinese mainland. The move comes after Wal-Mart Stores Inc. teamed up with mid-sized Shenzhen Development Bank to launch cards in October.
