CHINA Merchants Bank said it expects to issue 15 million credit cards by the end of this year.
'We should have no problem reaching 15 million credit cards this year in total,'Chi Wei-joong, the head of credit cards at the Shanghai-listed bank, said. The bank, the country's biggest non-State lender, also said that business had been profitable in 2006, the bank's fourth year of issuing credit cards.
