- CITIC Bank becomes joint-stock firm

CHINA CITIC Bank, a mid-sized bank, was transformed into a joint-stock firm in late December, Xinhua reported yesterday.
The bank's new name is CITIC Bank Co., Xinhua cited the bank as saying. The move reflects solid progress in the bank's corporate governance and lays the foundation for its stable healthy development in the future, the bank said.
