  • People's Bank of China to issue Olympic commemorative coins

    The People's Bank of China has decided to issue a set of standard commemorative coins and a second set of precious metal commemorative coins, for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, on June 20, 2007.

    The first set consists of three ordinary commemorative coins. The second set consists of precious metal commemorative coins, of which, two are made with a third ounce of gold, one with five ounces of gold, four with an ounce of silver, and one with a full kilogram of silver.

    All of them are legal tenders of the People's Republic of China.
