- BOC, RBS join hands to target super rich

BANK of China (BOC) and equity partner Royal Bank of Scotland launched a private banking venture Tuesday, pledging to win the business of the country's growing ranks of super rich with a top-notch service. The new venture, which will operate out of two branches in Beijing and Shanghai from March 28, will target wealthy Chinese with more than US$1 million of disposable assets to invest. The banks said prospects for their latest area of cooperation were bright, despite growing competition from both domestic and foreign rivals.
