- China Merchants Bank vice president resigns

CHINA Merchants Bank said yesterday Chen Wei had resigned as a board director and vice president of the Shanghai and Hong Kong-listed lender for personal reasons.
The resignation of Chen, who was also in charge of the bank's finance department, was unrelated to any disagreement between Chen and the board, the Shenzhen-based bank said in a statement. Chen will be replaced by Li Hao, who is also a vice president of the bank, it said.
