- SEB gets approval for Supor takeover

FRENCH kitchenware manufacturer SEB said Thursday it had the approval of China's Ministry of Commerce to proceed with its previously announced acquisition of Shenzhen-listed cookware firm Supor .
SEB added the deal still needed the approval of China Securities Regulatory Commission. SEB said in August 2006 it planned to buy a majority stake in Supor in a deal worth more than US$300 million.
