Chinese company China Sfeco Representative is assessing the possibility of building a 460-km- long highway between Indonesia's tsunami-ravaged province of Aceh and North Sumatra.
The company's representatives have met with head of the Aceh provincial transportation office Muhyan Yunan, the national Antara news agency reported Thursday.
Muhyan said the local government and the Chinese firm have signed agreement on the project, which is estimated to cost 5 billion rupiah (537,056 U.S. dollars) per km.
