- Zhejiang Expressway profit up 15 percent

TOLL road operator Zhejiang Expressway Co. said yesterday its 2006 net profit rose 15 percent, boosted by increased traffic on its core freeways in eastern China.
Net profit for the year ended Dec. 31 rose to 1.65 billion yuan (US$213.73 million) from 1.43 billion yuan in 2005. Revenue rose to 4.76 billion yuan from 3.46 billion yuan.
