- Blueprint for China's regional development released

The 2006-2007 China Regional Development Report, a blueprint for China's regional development in 2007, was released on Monday by the Beijing Social Sciences Institute and the Publishing House of Social Sciences and Literature.
The development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei economic regions, the Yangtze River Delta economic region, and Zhujiang Delta economic region are of great importance according to this report, which also covers other regions such as northeast China.
The report considers how to coordinate and transform China's regional economic development. It says that in the transformation of China's economic development mode, the regional economy will be promoted through interaction. 'Accelerate development, and reduce development disparity' is the goal of future development in the eastern, central, and western parts of China.
