- Phone lines jammed by bullish market

SHENZHEN investors have urged local banks to upgrade their money transfer system, after depositors recently had difficulties transferring money from their savings accounts into trading accounts in the face of the stock markets bull run.
With large sums of money flowing from deposit accounts into stock trading accounts, the phone lines of most local banks have often been jammed in recent days, especially after the May Day holiday. Many had to wait hours before getting their money transferred into stock trading accounts through the telephone service, preventing them from purchasing the stocks they were seeking.
'The telephone system can sufficient handled transfer business at normal days, but hard to carry on when the business had increased multiple times more during recent days,'said an ICBC employee Friday. The bank has decided to upgrade the phone service system and promises the situation will improve shortly.
Hongbo purchases animation Web site
SHENZHEN-BASED Guangdong Hongbo Communications Investment & Holding Ltd. has acquired a 100 percent stake in the Web site greedland.net, the largest animation Web site in China, according to a report by the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily on Friday.
Hongbo Holdings deals in communications services as well as communications industry investments and operations. Since 2004, Hongbo Holdings has been focused on the investment and operation of Internet New Media services and telecom value-added services.
Greedland.net is the largest Chinese language animation Web site with 10 million page viewers a day. It has the largest animation community, comprising 2.8 million registered members, aged between 15 and 30 years old.
