- Another Chinese brand car debuts in Egyptian market

Chief of a Chinese car maker announced in Cairo on Monday that one more brand model of his company came into the Egyptian market for the first time as an important step forward for the company's international marketing strategy.
Liu Zhigang, President of China's Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Co. Ltd, made the announcement at a press conference held Monday in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, saying his company has made great efforts on enlarging international market.
Following several models' well selling in Egypt during past years, the introduction of Brilliance Splendor into the Arab country is another major step for the Chinese car company to advance its marketing strategy in the Middle East and Africa, said Liu.
'We are determined to enlarge our market share in the Mideast and African area,' said Liu, noting the significance of the Egyptian market.
Farid El-Tobgui, executive board member of Bavarian Auto Group in Egypt, which is the importer and assembler of China's Brilliance cars, said Chinese car sales in Egypt have increased greatly in 2007 by 255 percent compared to the same period in 2006.
More and more Egyptians prefer to buy Chinese cars for reliable quality and improved after services, said Farid, adding the company will introduce more models from the Chinese car maker in 2008.
