SHENZHEN'S first Spring Hi-tech Fair is set to become South China's largest consumer electronic products exhibition, yesterday's Southern Metropolis Daily reported, quoting organizers.
Unlike the previous high-tech fairs held in October, the exhibition - which will be held between May 25 and 27 - will be largely restricted to professionals in the field, the Daily report said.
Exhibitors are now being invited for the '2007 International Consumer Electronic Products Fair,'to be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, with more than 100 enterprises expected to attend from Russia alone.
The fair will be divided into four zones: audio-visual entertainment products; communications and computer equipment; automobile electronic products and accessories. It is set to provide a professional platform for consumer electronic products, and establish new methods for ordering and exporting.
Product demonstrations, new product releases, electronics industry summit forums, and VIP purchasers' meetings will also be held.
Chambers of commerce in Russia, Poland, Brazil, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States have already promised to send exhibitors and buyers to the fair. Domestic businesses have already booked booths.
The high-tech fair organizing committee estimates that more than 500 businesses will exhibit. Public open days will be specially set aside for non-professionals, said the organizing committee.
Insiders have high expectations that the fair will be the largest consumer electronic products fair in South China, as South China has the largest market for and output of electronics products.
