- Quick growth of Romania's trading with China during Jan.-April

According to the data provided by Romania Trading and Promotion Center, during Jan.-April of 2007, total trading amount of Romania with Mainland China reached Euro 425m, up by 37% than the same period of last year. Among them, Romania exported Euro 46.24m, down by 8.4% year-on-year; however, Romania imported Euro 378m, up by 45.3% year-on-year, continually keeping on fast growing momentum since February; Trade deficit of Romania was Euro 332m, increased dramatically by 58.8% year-on-year.
China remains the third import country-of-origin of Romania other than the EU, next to Russia and Turkey, accounting to total national import amount of 9.18% of Romania in the same period other than the EU countries, but slightly declined than 9.22% of last month. China still ranked the 13th place among the export countries other than the EU in Romania, accounting for total national export amount of 1.69% other than the exports to the EU in the same period, down by 0.01% than last month.
