- Yuan slips further against U.S. dollar

THE yuan slipped against the U.S. dollar Friday for the third straight day as the U.S. currency maintained its strength following a rebound against major currencies earlier last week.
The yuan closed at 7.8245 against the dollar, versus Thursday's close of 7.8236, after the central bank set the daily mid-point of the yuan at 7.8266, compared with 7.8305 the previous day.
