- Introduction of advanced technologies hits record high

The first 11 months in China saw 9,537 technology import contracts valued at 20.35 billion U.S. dollars, up 30 percent over the same period last year, according to statistics with the Ministry of Commerce.
Access to technologies accounted for 6.3 billion dollars, or 31percent of the contracts, up 45.6 percent year on year.
With a contractual value of 90.4 billion dollars, Sino-foreign contracts involving technology services and consultation rank second on the technology import list, accounting for 44.5 percent.
The European Union was the largest source of technology imports, accounting to 2,336 contracts, involving a contractual value of 8.17 billion dollars, up 22.6 percent, and accounting for 40.2 percent of the total.
Contracts with Japan totaled 4.83 billion dollars, 23.7 percent of the total value, and the United States 3.81 billion dollars, 18.7 percent of the total.
