- Factory output slows as curbs bite

THE country's factory output in November grew at the slowest pace this year, dragged down by a raft of government tightening measures and weakening global demand.
Annual industrial output growth slowed to 17.3 percent from 17.9 percent in October, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday, well below median forecasts of 17.8 percent. In the first 11 months, industrial output grew 18.5 percent from the same period last year.
