- Ping An reports insurance premiums

PING An Insurance (Group) Co. of China Ltd. said yesterday its unaudited life insurance premiums for the January-November totaled 71.91 billion yuan (US$9.72 billion).
It reported last year 62.87 billion yuan worth of life insurance premiums for the same period of 2006. The Shenzhen-based company, China's second-largest life insurer by premiums after China Life Insurance Co., said in a statement its property and casualty insurance unit's premium income in the January-November period was 19.64 billion yuan. That is also higher than the 15.44 billion yuan worth of property and casualty insurance premiums it reported for the January-November period last year.
