- Hua Nan unit to set up Shenzhen office

HUA Nan Financial Holdings Co. unit South China Insurance Co. has secured the go-ahead from the mainland's China Insurance Regulatory Commission to set up a representative office in Shenzhen, a senior official with the unit said Thursday.
The news confirms an earlier report in the Commercial Times that South China Insurance vice president May Tseng said her company is the ninth non-life insurance company from Taiwan to have won access to the mainland.
