THE forthcoming third China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) will offer 3,000 jobs at the city's Talent Market when it opens to the public May 17.
The move is to meet the increasing demand for personnel after the city government gave priority to developing the cultural industry as a key pillar industry joining high tech, finance and logistics.
'The ICIF, a driving force for the development of Shenzhen's cultural industry, has become a platform for cultural product transactions and also a magnet for personnel exchanges,'said Wang Hailong, director of the Shenzhen Talent Market, organizer of the ICIF talent fair.
'We have stipulated that enterprises participating in the fair, mostly from the cultural industry sector, must offer vacancies at 60,000 yuan (US$7,792.21) annual salary or above,'said Wang.
'Shenzhen's cultural industry is at an initial stage, but it is firmly backed by the municipal government against the backdrop of a fast-growing economy. The industry badly needs professionals with a good educational background and experience.'
Among the vacancies, 60 percent are for designers and posts for company executives account for 7 to 9 percent. Most companies offer wages ranging from 60,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan a year. Shenzhen Yatong culture company will offer 800, 000 yuan for a general manager.
