- Wuhan Steel sees profit up 450 percent

WUHAN Iron and Steel Co. said yesterday it expected to post at least a 450 percent jump in net profit for the first quarter of 2007 due to higher steel prices.
Wuhan Steel generated a net profit of 247 million yuan, or 0.032 yuan per share, for the first quarter of 2006.
