JIANGXI Copper Corp., the parent of Hong Kong and Shanghai-listed Jiangxi Copper Co., said it produced a total 443,000 metric tons of copper cathode in 2006.
The output is 5 percent higher than its 2005 output of 422,000 tons, which was about 17 percent of the country's total production. The company also produced 13 tons of gold and 353 tons of silver in 2006, according to a statement posted on its Web site. It didn't provide figures for gold or silver production in 2005. Total sales revenue in 2006 for the first time exceeded 30 billion yuan (US$3.84 billion), it said.
