- Audi's China sales rise 38.8 percent

VOLKSWAGEN'S premium brand Audi boosted sales in China by 38.8 percent in 2006 to a record 81,708 vehicles, maintaining its lead in the premium segment, Audi said Tuesday.
'The Audi A6L made a major contribution to this success: 61,686 units of the Chinese version of the A6 were produced at the Changchun plant, up 36.5 percent,'it said in a statement. Sales of the Audi A4, also made in Changchun, rose 44.3 percent to 15,536 units.
