- BMW names new CEO for China JV

GERMAN luxury carmaker BMW has appointed Alfred Rupp, a nine-year BMW veteran, as president and chief executive of its joint venture in China.
Rupp replaced Eberhard Schrempf, effective Thursday, BMW Brilliance said in a statement yesterday. Rupp had been a senior vice president of the venture since June 2006, it said.
