- Honda vehicle sales up 27 percent

HONDA Motor Co. sold 33,944 vehicles in China in April, up 27.4 percent from a year earlier, outperforming the 16 percent growth in the overall market.
Sales from its tie-up with Dongfeng Motor Group Co. came to 9,415 units in April, up sharply from 2,200 units a year earlier, it said in a statement late Wednesday. Sales from its venture in South China climbed slightly to 24,529 units from 24,448 units a year ago, it said. From January to April, Honda sold 121,042 vehicles in China, up 31.1 percent from a year earlier, it added.
