- GM confident of meeting sale target

KEVIN WALE, president and managing director of General Motors Corp.'s (GM) China Group, said yesterday he is confident GM will meet its target of 1 million auto sales in China this year.
Wale, speaking at the launch of a new engine plant operated by SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., said he sees total China industry sales of around 8.5 million autos in 2007.
