SIX Shenzhen companies including ZTE, Gemdale and AIA Shenzhen Branch received Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer awards at a ceremony marking the global launch of the new ACCA qualifications, in Shenzhen on Friday.
The ACCA Approved Employer award is a formal recognition of the learning and development support leading organizations offer to ACCA students and members. It serves as a benchmark which the company can use to compare and certify its training policies and procedures against the ACCA global best practice standards.
'The launch of the new qualification follows an extensive and detailed consultation process in the past three years and the new ACCA Qualification is designed to provide the accounting knowledge, skills and professional values which will deliver finance professionals who are capable of building successful careers across all sectors, whether they are working in the public or private sectors, practicing in accounting firms, or pursuing a career in business,'said Andrew Harding, managing director of strategy and development of ACCA.
The new ACCA Qualification is designed to deliver professional accountants who are capable of building successful careers in any country, and across all sectors, from practicing in accounting firms, to corporate, financial services and public sectors.
ACCA is the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body with 296,000 students and 115,000 members in 170 countries. In China, it has 2,600 members and affiliates, over 15,000 students and 23 examination centers.
