- Descendants donate historic files of Zhou Enlai

BEIJING, Nov. 30 -- Descendants of late Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai, have contributed a set of historical files to his former residence museum in Huaian, eastern Jiangsu province, enriching the people's knowledge of the beloved statesman.
The items include a family book written by Zhou's uncle, and 21 portraits of Zhou's forefathers, The Yang Zi Evening News reported Thursday.
The files are of high research and collectible value, the report said.
Born in 1898 in Huaian, Zhou Enlai was one of the earliest founders of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Joining late Chairman Mao Zedong and many others, Zhou Enlai fully committed himself to the Chinese Revolution throughout the difficult years from 1920's to 1940's. He later became the first Premier of the People's Republic of China after it was founded on Oct. 1, 1949. Premier Zhou died on Jan. 8th, 1976.
