- Energy product output to hit 2.37b tons

THE country's production of major energy products is expected to reach 2.37 billion tons of coal equivalent in 2007, domestic media reported Thursday, quoting a figure from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
The major energy products include coal, crude oil and natural gas but exclude electricity because it is mostly generated from coal and oil. Output for major energy products in 2005 stood at 2.06 billion tons of coal equivalent, according to the NDRC.
