CHINA National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), the nation's biggest oil producer, said yesterday domestic fuel supplies might ease noticeably by the middle of this month because of increased production and imports.
CNPC, parent of Hong Kong and Shanghai-listed PetroChina Co., planned to import more than 300,000 metric tons of diesel by the second half of December to boost supplies, it said in a statement on its Web site. Two cargoes of imported diesel arrived in the cities of Zhuhai and Ningbo during the weekend, the company said.
