- China Power output up 19.05 percent

CHINA Power International Development Ltd., the smallest Hong Kong-listed mainland power producer by capacity, said yesterday it generated 19.05 percent more electricity in 2006, compared with the previous year.
The rise in output was due to the capacity upgrade of Shentou I Power Plant and the country's strong demand for electricity, the company said in a statement. China Power said it generated 22.3 million megawatt-hours of electricity in 2006.
