- Nation's business climate improves

CHINA'S business climate index rose to 139.4 points in the fourth quarter of 2006, compared with 136.7 in the third quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday. The index was 7.7 points higher than a year earlier, the statistics agency said on its Web site. The index ranges from zero to 200. A figure above 100 represents positive or improving business conditions.
