- Huadian output rose 12.2% last year

HUADIAN Power International Corp. Ltd. said it generated 52.53 billion kilowatt-hours (kwh) of electricity in 2006, up 12.2 percent.
In a statement filed with the Shanghai exchange, the company said that the increased output was due to heightened demand for power and some new power generators starting operations in 2006. Installed capacity was 11.75 million kwh on an equity basis at the end of 2006, the company said.
