- Preferential treatment for 60 cement firms

THE government has selected 60 cement companies for preferential treatment as part of its plans to restructure the sector, three government bodies said in a joint statement.
The companies will receive government support in developing new projects, acquiring land, securing loans, and pursuing mergers and acquisitions, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Land and Resources and the People's Bank of China said in a joint statement issued last week.
