CRUDE output at China National Petroleum Corporation's (CNPC) overseas operations increased 52.4 percent year on year to 54.6 million tons in 2006, State media reported yesterday. Of the total, which amounted to 1.09 million barrels per day (bpd), China's largest oil and gas producer was entitled to 28.07 million tons (561,000 bpd), 40.1 percent higher than a year earlier, said a report on the Xinhuanet, a news Web site run by the Xinhua news agency.
