China's first oil reserve base has been put into operation, said Han Yongwen, secretary general of the National Development and Reform Commission.
The state is considering and researching its overall oil reserve strategy, Han said. Judging from current conditions, China established oil reserves quite late, with a much smaller construction plan than other countries and a relatively small reserve capacity.
