- China's monthly trade surplus hits new high in June

BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- China's trade surplus in June hit a new high of 26.91 billion U.S. dollars, up 85.5 percent over the same month of last year, the General Administration of Customs said on Tuesday.
Aggregate surplus for the first half of the year jumped 83 percent year-on-year to 112.5 billion U.S. dollars, it said.
China's foreign trade volume for the first six months totaled 980.93 billion dollars, up 23.3 percent year-on-year.
The volume of imports in June rose 14.2 percent to 76.36 billion dollars, while that of exports reached 103.27 billion dollars, up 27.1 percent year-on-year, and 1.6 percentage points lower than the growth rate in May.
