- CNOOC offers 22 oil, gas blocks in tender

CHINA National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC), the State-owned parent company of CNOOC Ltd., said Thursday that it is offering 22 oil and natural gas blocks to foreign companies in an international tender.
The blocks cover a total area of 114,050 square kilometers and include 15 in the South China Sea close to where CNOOC and its foreign partners have made a number of oil and gas finds in recent years. A further three blocks are being offered in the southern part of the Yellow Sea and four in the East China Sea, CNOOC said in a statement posted on its Web site.
