- China Tietong to sell commercial paper

CHINA Tietong Telecommunications Corp., one of the nation's six phone operators, received approval from the central bank to sell 2 billion yuan (US$259 million) of short-term commercial paper to increase working capital.
The company plans to issue the 365-day bills on the interbank market, Beijing-based China Tietong said in a statement on its Web site. The unsecured bills will offer a yield of 3.58 percent, according to the statement dated March 28.
