- Logistics business up 24% in Q1

THE country's logistics sector realized 15.6 trillion yuan in business turnover in the first three months of this year, a growth of 24.2 percent from the previous year, sources with the National Development and Reform Commission said Saturday.
The growth was mainly shored up by delivery, processing and packaging businesses, the sources added. Of the total business turnover, 13.7 trillion yuan, or 88 percent, was recorded on industrial goods, up 2.8 trillion yuan or 25.2 percent year on year. The proportion was 0.8 percentage points higher than the previous year. Between January and March, the logistics sector generated 361.6 billion yuan in added value, up 16.7 percent.
